Dimensioned Objects
This plugin allow to draw dimensioned circles rectangles and polylines by entering a length/diameter value during the drawing.

| Documentation | 1. After installation it appears in the Drawing toolbar and in the Drawing menu as Dimensioned Polyline, Dimensioned Circle and Dimensioned rectangle  2. Use as you would when drawing a Polyline/Polyrectangle/Circle, i.e. left click at required points, Enter to end, Esc to cancel. 3. BUT . . . you can enter a value for length/width/height/diameter just by typing a number, no dialogue boxes, do not press Enter, just type in a number. (use Backspace to erase digits if wrong number entered) 4. The angle constraint points are still active. Dimensioned Polyline So, now you have clicked on a start point and you are dragging the 'rubber band' line around before clicking on the next point. 1. If you DO NOT enter a value for length it works just the same as standard Polyline draw. 2. If you DO enter a length, and the 'rubber band' line is LONGER than that length then a superimposed line will appear that represents your required line. Left click and the superimposed line is chosen. 3. If you DO enter a length, and the 'rubber band' line is SHORTER than that length, it works just the same as standard Polyline draw. Left click and the 'rubber band' line is chosen. |
